Cookies

Reading the board sets no cookies at all. There is no analytics, no advertising pixel, no third-party tracker, and no consent banner, because there is nothing to consent to.

Two cookies exist, and you only ever receive one by signing in. Both are listed below.

Signing in at the listing portal sets one cookie so you stay signed in. It holds a session value and nothing else, is restricted to this site, cannot be read by scripts, is sent only over HTTPS, and expires after seven days.

It is strictly necessary for a service you asked for, which is why it does not require consent. It is listed here because disclosure is owed whether consent is or not.

If you have never signed in, your browser has never received it. Signing out deletes it immediately.

Signing in to the private review console sets a second cookie, on the same terms, expiring after eight hours. Only the operator can reach that console, so unless you run this board you will never receive it.

Two things are kept in session storage, which your browser clears when you close the tab, and neither is used to track you or leaves your device:

• a random identifier generated in your tab, so the live viewer count can tell one open tab from another without knowing anything about who you are
• a note of what the board looked like the last time this tab drew it, so that when a tower grows or the flame changes hands the page can animate the difference instead of silently redrawing

We do not use local storage. Fonts are served from this site rather than a third-party font network, so loading a page does not tell anyone else that you did.
